Viewing test cycles, windows, and tests

When setting up Bedrock’s Reading Test within your school, assessments can be organised neatly into cycles and test windows. This clear structure gives you full visibility over the assessment process and can be tailored to the specific needs of your learners.

All teachers with a Bedrock account can view the test cycles, test windows and the tests themselves. This ensures transparency across your school, so all teachers can view the assessment plan and understand the school’s expectations of using Bedrock’s Reading Test.

To view existing test cycles:

1. Log in to your Bedrock teachers account.
2. Click ‘Reading Test.’
3. Select ‘Cycles.’

Here, you can view all of the existing test cycles which have been set up. Click the name of a test cycle to view details, such as when it was created and last updated.

To download the results of the Reading Test across the whole test cycle, click the ‘Download results’ button. It will immediately begin downloading as a CSV file.

Cycles have no date assigned to them, and can simply be used as an overarching ‘folder’ to group test windows. Therefore, if you want to view previous cycles (such as the last academic year), scroll through the list until you find the test cycle you are looking for.

To view existing test windows:

1. Log in to your Bedrock teachers account.
2. Click ‘Reading Test.’
3. Select ‘Cycles.’
4. Click the name of the test cycle that contains the window you wish to view.
5. Click the name of the test window. The box will expand to reveal the details.

Here, you can view the details of the test window, such as:

• Description
• Test statuses
• Scheduled date and time

To download the results of the Reading Test from this entire test window, click the ‘Download results’ button. It will immediately begin downloading as a CSV file.

To view existing tests:

1. Log in to your Bedrock teachers account.
2. Click ‘Reading Test.’
3. Click the name of the test that you wish to view.

Here, you will be able to see details, such as:

• Description of the test
• Scheduled date and time
• Creation date
• Last updated date
• List of learners assigned to the test
• Individual learner statuses

To download the results of this specific test, click the ‘Download results’ button. It will immediately begin downloading as a CSV file.
