Viewing the vocabulary curriculum for each year group

The ‘years’ tab gives all teachers an overview of the number of words in each subject for each year group.

The overview shows:

  • The number of classes per year group
  • The number of subjects per year group
  • The total number of words in all classes in the year group
  • The total number of words per subject in all classes in the year group

This provides visibility of the vocabulary curriculum for each year group, and at the subject level. Therefore, teachers and leaders can articulate the number of subject-specific words that are being taught. For example, the screenshot below shows that 111 words are being taught across the 3 science classes in Year 7.

To view the individual classes, and the words being taught, you need to view ‘classes and sequencing.’ If you click ‘edit class’ it will take you to this tab. image1.png

You can also filter by subject to see an overview of an individual subject in every year.

This could be useful for teachers to check that the correct number of classes have been added, and the number of total words being taught in the individual subject.
